Laurie Felker Jones is passionate about equitable systems design which she has advanced across sectors and functions through politics, entrepreneurship, innovation, and alternative finance. She is a subject matter expert in structuring blended and impact capital, and advancing under-represented founders and use cases. Her work electing 35+ women in Texas, as a social entrepreneur and founder in the care economy, as a startup advisor and ecosystem builder, and as an expert in alternative finance has been recognized through two government appointments, and by IDEO.org, The Chicago Tribune, SXSW, Techstars, Village Capital, and others. Laurie holds a BA in Government and Gender Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, a MSc in Social Business and Entrepreneurship from the London School of Economics, and is a graduate of the Oxford Impact Finance Innovations Programme at the Saïd Business School. A global citizen and former live-aboard sailor, she shares a home in London with her husband, two children, and their beloved pets. She maintains right to work and live in the UK via issuance of the UK Global Talent Visa for Exceptional Talent in Digital Technology.
